As a way of allowing our kids and adults alike who cannot yet or can no longer fly fish who still want the thrill of a big hard fighting fish up to double figures we have adopted a concept originating in Italy.
Doug's Water will be as of Saturday 30th June starting the same rules and prices of tickets as that of the fly waters to allow C&R or a kill ticket with the use of single barbless (not de-barbed) hooks.
This will allow prices for a bait pond to be reduced, larger fish to be stocked and the water to be stocked heavier therefore allowing kids to be pretty much guaranteed a catch without the need to harm the fish if they do not wish to kill them.
Full details can be found by contacting Garry at the fishery.
